Private Practice Experience & Fees

Laura is a private practice provider and is not contracted with insurance companies. 

As such, all sessions are self-pay.

Privately paying for therapy ensures that there is no record of counseling sessions on insurance or medical files, offering an added layer of privacy. For many couples, safeguarding information about their personal life is a high priority. 

No one has access to your records.

Insurance often imposes limits on the number of therapy sessions or types of treatment covered. Privately paying for therapy allows for unlimited sessions or specific therapies that might not be covered by insurance, but are essential to mental health needs. Couples are able to determine their own session frequency.

Privately paying for therapy gives couples the freedom to choose any therapist they feel most comfortable with, without being restricted by insurance networks. 

This allows couples to select highly specialized or experienced therapists that possess advanced training and expertise. 

Laura offers highly personalized approaches for each couple. Privately paying for therapy can enable couples to access these tailored services without concern 

for what might be covered by insurance.

Private pay couples receive faster access to therapy because they avoid 

the bureaucratic delays associated with insurance approval. 

When new couples reach out to schedule an appointment with Laura, 

they can begin therapy promptly, often within 48 business hours or less. 

Laura offers a concierge-style approach to therapy, 

often with same-day appointments for established couples.

Couples Session - $175

Laura does not provide monthly superbills for couples

to submit to insurance for reimbursement. 

Providing a superbill implies that Laura is an "out of network provider", 

which then allows your insurance company the ability to request 

or audit your records to determine medical necessity for counseling.
