As a counselor trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), I have completed advanced, ongoing training through the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy. This research-backed model developed by Dr. Sue Johnson focuses on helping couples break out of painful patterns and reconnect on deeper emotional levels. Couples deserve more than basic communication skills. I help my couples get to the root of what keeps them stuck, helping them navigate conflict safely, while guiding the kinds of conversations that actually rebuild trust and connection. I work closely with couples to slow things down, make sense of each partner’s experience, and create real shifts in how they respond to each other. Couples often come to me after feeling like “nothing has worked,” and what we do together is different: it’s structured, intentional, and deeply focused on helping both partners feel seen, safe, and understood again. If you're going to invest in your relationship, choose a counselor who is specifically trained in couple's work.
